Looking ahead to Arctic Change 2020
Now more than ever, Arctic Change is proving to be a highly-appropriate and timely name for our biggest event. While we cannot know what the next few months hold, we want to let you know how we are planning for the future in light of COVID-19.
The safety of our Network is our top priority. We are monitoring the situation closely, and our team is evaluating whether to shift to a virtual conference or pursue other distancing measures to keep all attendees safe. Under no circumstances will we compromise the health of northern communities, and we will not encourage anyone to travel before it is safe to do so.
Our call for sessions is moving ahead in order to allow us to plan for all options; we encourage you to submit your proposals so that we can understand where there is most demand, and how to best structure the sessions. We would love to welcome you all to Toronto this December, but you can rest assured that if we proceed with an in-person meeting, it will not be a "business as usual" conference given the current public health projections.
Please watch our website and social media for updates in the coming weeks. We are working hard to find exciting, inspiring ways to bring Arctic Change 2020 to you, so stay tuned!
