James Ford

Professor James D. Ford is a Priestley Chair in Climate Adaptation at the Priestley International Centre for Climate at the University of Leeds. His research focuses on climate change impacts, adaptation, and vulnerability in the Arctic, and he has worked closely with Inuit communities since the early 2000s. The author of >170 articles, he is a lead author on the IPCCs Special Report on 1.5C of warming and editor-in-chief at Regional Environmental Change. Prof. Ford completed his PhD in Geography at the University of Guelph and was an Associate Professor in geography at McGill University prior to moving to the UK in 2017.
